AEK Secures Key Victory Over Olympiacos (38-34) to Cement Prime Spot


AEK’s males’s handball group delivered a stellar efficiency, defeating Olympiacos SFP/Omilos Xyni 38-34 in a packed “G. Kasimatis” enviornment for the 18th spherical of the Handball Premier. With this victory, AEK prolonged their unbeaten run throughout all competitions and widened their lead on the prime of the desk to 4 factors, securing residence benefit for the playoffs.

AEK began robust, rapidly taking a 2-0 lead via Duarte and Arabatzis. Their strong protection and quick breaks pushed the benefit to 15-9 by halftime, with goalkeeper Zenti making key saves. Within the second half, Olympiacos fought again, reducing the deficit to a few targets (31-28) with eight minutes remaining. Nonetheless, essential targets from Sakho, Panagiotou, and Arabatzis ensured AEK’s victory, sealing the ultimate rating at 38-34.
