Former world champions Terry Griffiths and Ray Reardon have been remembered on the newest WPBSA Teaching Seminar which was staged in York forward of the UK Championship.
Staged on the Novotel in York on the eve of the primary Triple Crown occasion of the season, the seminar was attended by WPBSA coaches who’ve certified throughout the three ranges of the WPBSA Teaching Programme.
The annual occasion, led by WPBSA Head of Teaching and Coaching Improvement Supervisor Chris Lovell, featured a chat from particular visitor speaker Wayne Griffiths – the son of Terry and the Head Coach of Billiard Sports activities on the Hong Kong Sports activities Institute (HKSI) since 2010.
He was joined by sports activities coach Chris Henry, main cue maker John Parris, former World Seniors Snooker champion Lee Walker, WPBSA Participant Relations Supervisor Neil Tomkins and lots of extra in sharing their reminiscences of Griffiths and Reardon – the previous Heads of the WPBSA Teaching Programmes who each sadly handed away final 12 months.
