I not too long ago acquired a 1914 postcard displaying the unique clubhouse of the Washtenaw Nation Membership close to the railroad tracks that after ran alongside what’s now Packard Street.
Though the caption on this postcard says “Ypsilanti Nation Membership,” the clubhouse is that of what was then the Washtenaw Nation Membership (now the Washtenaw Golf Membership).
The postcard proven under is one other that I personal, courting to 1913. It’s clearly the identical constructing, simply from one other angle.

The postcard above is similar one which seems within the pages of Washtenaw Nation Membership’s a hundredth anniversay commemorative ebook.

This clubhouse was changed in 1929 with an even bigger, fancier constructing to accomodate what was then 300 members.

Sadly, the timing couldn’t have been worse. The inventory market crashed, and the membership barely survived.
If in case you have a keenness for traditional programs, as I do, you owe it to your self to attempt Washtenaw Golf Membership.
