Functions are open for the World Skilled Billiards and Snooker Affiliation (WPBSA)’s second staging of the Event Director Course Programme.
First held in October 2023 together with the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB), the course is open to certified EPSB referees who maintain a present EPSB referee Membership.
The course is a pre-requisite for officers to behave as a Event Director at recognised EPSB competitions and offers detailed coaching together with:
- The function and duties of a Event Director
- Event administration
- The right way to use WPBSA SnookerScores, the official event administration system of the WPBSA
- Managing and supporting referees at competitions
Course Construction
The course will probably be delivered in two elements, with the primary happening at Manchester’s Membership 200 on Saturday 8 March. This stage will probably be led by WPBSA Head of Teaching and Coaching Improvement Supervisor Chris Lovell and skilled Event Director James Chambers, who will present a full overview of what’s required within the function.
Half two will then see members working alongside an skilled Event Director at an EPSB occasion, over the following 18 months.
Achievement will probably be through attendance and competence on each elements of the course.
